Lucra Sports is a peer-to-peer sports gaming platform that sits uniquely at the intersection of sports betting and fantasy sports. Lucra allows users to create player vs. player contests in which they compete against friends for real money. Customization of players and stats allows users to be more creative (including cross-sport contests) than existing options in the marketplace. Social features are the heart of Lucra and allow you to share contests and smack talk with friends and fans. Lucra is founded upon transparency, with fees lower than any sportsbook and an easy-to-use platform that users can trust.

why we are so excited:

Space: Peer-to-peer sports betting combines several attractive (sports betting) and under-penetrated (peer-to-peer gaming) markets. With a nascent, but evolving, regulatory and legal landscape, the opportunities for us will only grow.

Stage: We are a series A venture-backed company after a very successful seed round (May-21) and product launch (Sep-21). We need to ramp up the team and take advantage of the early lead we have in our space.

Team: We are a small team composed of repeat founders, ex-NFL Management, ex-Microsoft, ex-Goldman Sachs.

Investor Base: We are backed by some of the biggest names in sports, including NBA/MLB team owners, professional athletes and top-tier venture funds.

about the role

Lucra is searching for an Executive Assistant who will be primarily responsible for supporting the Chief Executive Officer and executive team as directed to ensure that the organization's goals and objectives are accomplished. The Executive Assistant will have primary responsibility for communications, scheduling, and financial documentation as it relates to the CEO’s activities. The Executive Assistant will work to ensure timely, discreet, and effective communication between the CEO and the team, consultants, partners, funders, and guests.

main responsibilities include
  • Manage various elements of the executive team’s role and activities including email monitoring, managing and scheduling a complex yearly calendar and daily schedule, and organizing meeting logistics and materials.
  • Assist with coordination of team events and retreats, including scheduling, preparing materials, and overseeing logistics.
  • Schedule domestic travel arrangements for the team, including arrangement of complex travel schedules, itineraries and reservations.
  • Handle expense reporting, receipts.
  • Assist with other administrative duties as assigned by the executive team.

  • Ability to adapt to an ever-changing workflow, including but not limited to leading small projects, planning team offsites, overseeing workspaces, and organizing larger events in conjunction.
  • Is proactive, bold, and resourceful ("If not me, then who?").
  • Previous experience at a high-growth, fast-paced startup.
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time-management skills and the ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects at once.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other office productivity tools, with aptitude to learn new software and systems.
  • Flexible team player willing to do what it takes to get the job done; adaptable and enjoys a challenge.
